A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to the launch of 3INA’s (pronounced ‘MINA’) flagship store at The Point in Sliema. We were lucky enough to be briefed on the brand by the founders of the brand themselves, Mark Eve and Pablo Rivera.

3INA offers an extensive range of high quality products - from brushes, foundations, highlighters and lipsticks to nail polish and makeup removers and everything in between - in a vast array of colours at a price that won’t break the bank. Their products are also cruelty free and produced in Europe.

Another great thing about the brand is that every month they come out with a new product in 16 colours! They also cater for all skin tones so you’ll always find something that suits you.

If you haven’t been to one of their stores yet (either at The Point or Qormi), I recommend you go check them out! It’s like being in a candy store – so much colour and choices! And the shop is gorgeous as well!

I also have some goodies to try out so keep an eye out for a haul/review post!

As you might have seen on my page, earlier this month I had the opportunity to meet and get my makeup done by Tom Strohmetz who is the official makeup artist and international trainer from BeYu. Before the session started, Tom presented me with a brief summary of the brand.

BeYu was launched in 1999 and it is part of the ARTDECO cosmetic group. Their products are made of high quality European ingredients and products are also scientifically tested for compatibility and application thus making them dermatologically approved for sensitive skin and also ophthalmological approved for sensitive eyes. Their products are also paraben free and are not tested on animals.

Recently, I managed to get my hands on some of their cosmetics and I thought it would be a great idea to divide them into different instalments and review their products. So let’s start with the first review!

1. Pure Colour and Stay Lipstick in No. 218 – Pink Hibiscus

First of all, this lipstick is extremely long lasting and extremely pigmented. It took me a while to remove it from my lips and even when I swatched it on my hand. It has a matte finish without making your lips feel dry and it does not highlight any lines (believe me, my lips are constantly cracked and dry and this applied fantastically as you can see). It is made out of natural waxes thus giving you a smooth and even application.  Its packaging is black thus making it very sleek and chic. This shade is part of the Honolulu Happiness Spring/Summer 2016 range. Although I’m not one to usually wear bright colours, I’m willing to try something out of my comfort zone so I’m already seeing it being a great colour for next Spring.

2. Star Lipstick in No. 31 – Nude Touch

This shade is a tad too light for me however it’s a beautiful nude – it’s not too pink and not too brown. Despite the fact that I believe that it’s slightly too light for me, I can still make it work. It goes beautifully with a dark smokey eye plus one can use it on top of another lipstick to lighten and give a nice sheen. Its texture is very buttery and nourishing. The packaging of this lipstick is different from the rest of the Star Lipsticks due to it being part of the Summer 2014 Camouflair Limited Edition Collection.

3. Star Lipstick in No. 152 – Naked Plum

This has to be my favourite one! It’s a strong plum red with a soft gloss. Its soft texture makes the lipstick very smooth to apply and it settles beautifully on the lips without sinking into any fine lines. It has a very nourishing effect on the lips which is immediately obvious upon applying. It has a nice scent and comes in gorgeous silver packaging. I already know that this will be one of my go-to shades this Fall!

As you might have noticed, I didn’t get to do any outfit posts this summer. I focused more on the beauty section of my blog and that is because it’s the section I believe I’m most passionate about. However I’m ending the summer with a simple outfit look I wore a few weeks ago. If you’ve been a follower of my blog for a while, you might have seen the shoes in another post. These gorgeous (yet slightly uncomfortable) block heeled sandals are from Missguided (last season) and this beautiful and might I add very comfortable playsuit is from Zara. I purchased it during the sale and it was such a great deal!

I hope you all had a wonderful Summer, and now let’s start preparing for Autumn! I promise more outfit posts in the upcoming months with lots of layers for the colder weather!

Have a great week!
