Event | People&Skin in collaboration with Rosemarie Abela Fashion Studio

Last week, I was kindly invited to an After Summer Launch at People & Skin, one of Malta’s leading med-aesthetic clinics in collaboration with Rosemarie Abela Fashion Studio.

The event marked the launch of the new Juvéderm Volite rejuventation treatments at the clinic, a showcase of the AW17/18 collection from Rosemarie Abela and the unveiling of the painting Skin Diptych by an artist known to be one of Malta’s best female artists, the late Isabelle Borg.

The event kicked off with some prosecco and a brief introduction by Dr Joanna Delia and Ms Michelle Degiorgio. They spoke a bit about the clinic and launched a new treatment at the clinic, Juvéderm Volite by Allergan. I had already been to the PR launch of this treatment, courtesy of Vivian Corporation so I will give you some information about the treatment below.

Juvéderm Volite is the first minimally invasive injectable treatment designed to improve skin quality for up to 9 months with just a single treatment session. It aims to improve skin smoothness (skin that is smooth and lacks fine lines), hydration and elasticity (firm and supple skin), with minimum swelling after injections and longer and more natural looking results. Containing hyaluronic acid (which is a natural substance in skin that has the stunning capacity to attract and hold vast amounts of moisture), Juvéderm Volite can be used to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

I also browsed a bit around the clinic, where they had products on display for different skin problems as you can see.

After a brief information clip about the treatment, we saw a glimpse from Rosemarie Abela’s collection, La Cupola inspired by the Mosta Dome, the Maltese sky-line and the Neo-Classical Period. The color scheme screams autumn/winter with accents of gold and navy blue. It was a fantastic collection overall. I’ll insert some photos below so you can see for yourself. Well done Rosemarie!

Rosemarie has also designed the uniforms for the staff at People&Skin. The uniforms are the epitome of class and sophistication as can be seen on Michelle in the photo above (I have to admit, before telling us that they were uniforms, I thought it was the prettiest little black dress!) So another well done goes to Rosemarie!

To end this wonderful night, we saw the unveiling of the painting Skin Diptych at the clinic's reception area by Dr. Joanna Delia. She explained how the late Isabelle Borg is one of her favourite local artists and she couldn't pass on the opportunity of having this painting hanging at the clinic since it embodies the concept of the clinic, which like the painting, revolves around skin

Thank you People&Skin for the invite - it was a lovely and informative night!
Looking forward to return to the clinic to get one of their treatments done.

Happy Sunday!

Love, T
